If you have a report as shown below and would like to apply the color coding for the third value for which if it is <0 then I need to display the text in red color:
We need to move the third column to a separate report. First remove it in the above report and then it looks something like the below
Now we need to create a calculated field with the below for (Over)/Under field with the condition to show red when the value is <0 else black.
Now when you drag and drop this calculation on the color in the marks card and then you need to click on the color icon on the marks card and click on Edit Colors, then a window with the same name appears where you can set the colors for the Red and Black labels.
Here select the Red label on the left and select the appropriate color and then click on ok. Which will show all the values in the report as Red color as below.
Now go to the filter selection and remove the first two fields so it would be left with only the third one which is to be shown in red color when the value is <0.
You can remove those two columns by deselecting them in the above window and clicking on apply. It will show you only one field as below:
So now you have two separate reports one with the report with two fields Actual and budget values without using the color code calculation and the other one is the above report with color code calculation. Now you need to use both of them in the dashboard and arrange them as per the need.
